20 years of turning bold ideas into naval solutions

Saltwater is attending OEEC26

This year, Saltwater Engineering returns to the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference, taking place November 24–25 in Amsterdam. And this edition is a special one: in 2026, we celebrate our 20th anniversary. Twenty years of engineering, collaboration and turning complex maritime challenges into practical solutions.

At our booth, ship conversion takes center stage. We will showcase three scale models that demonstrate how existing vessels can be adapted for new purposes: Mainport Edge, converted from an offshore supply vessel into a fully equipped survey vessel, and Helen and Isle of Jura, two vessels connected to our work on the Fehmarnbelt Tunnel project.

This year, Geomaat will also join us at our booth to demonstrate how 3D scanning can support engineering and conversion projects. By capturing an accurate digital representation of an existing vessel or structure, 3D scanning provides reliable input for engineering, helps identify potential clashes early and reduces uncertainty during installation.

And of course, a 20th anniversary calls for a little celebration. Stop by our booth for a freshly made coffee from our barista because when it’s your birthday, you treat.

We look forward to welcoming you at OEEC26, sharing our latest conversion projects and exploring how engineering and 3D scanning can add value to your next project.

Ship Conversion

At OEEC26, Saltwater will highlight its expertise in ship conversion, helping vessel owners adapt existing vessels to new operational requirements and extend their working life. From feasibility studies and concept development to detailed engineering, we provide complete design support for complex conversion projects.

Our multidisciplinary approach covers structural modifications, naval architecture, system integration, and regulatory requirements. Visit us to discover how smart engineering can give existing vessels a new purpose and prepare them for future operations.

3D Scanning

Saltwater has worked with Geomaat, a specialist in 3D scanning, on maritime projects for many years. By combining 3D laser scanning with our engineering expertise, we create an accurate digital starting point for design and conversion projects.

Reliable 3D data helps identify clashes early, reduces assumptions and limits additional onboard measurements. The result: smarter engineering, fewer surprises during installation and a more efficient project from scan to execution.

Connect with us

We’re bringing our team of Naval Engineers to the Offshore Energy Exhibition & Conference 2026 to share insights into Saltwater’s expertise in ship design and conversion. Schedule a meeting with us in advance to discuss how we can support your next vessel project in detail.
