Our field of expertise

Five-Year survey Stena Britannica

The Stena Britannica is a RoPax cruiseferry operating between Harwich (UK) and Hoek van Holland (NL), transporting trucks, trailers and passengers across the North Sea.

During its scheduled five-year class survey, the vessel entered EDR Antwerp Shipyard. Saltwater Engineering was brought in to execute the lightweight check as part of the survey scope.

Efficient execution under time pressure

Due to the tight drydock schedule, the lightweight check was performed immediately after refloating. This required a flexible and responsive approach from our team.

Our surveyors were mobilized on short notice and carried out:

  • Draught readings
  • Tank soundings
  • Onboard measurements

All data was collected and processed within the available time window, ensuring reliable results without impacting the overall planning of the yard period.
