Our field of expertise

Amels LE199

Saltwater was contracted by Amels to generate the structural design of both the hull and superstructure of the vessel. In order to generate these general construction drawings Saltwater completed numerous calculations ranging from scantlings to FEM analyses. Furthermore Saltwater also worked in close cooperation with the classification society to ensure that the vessel scantlings met all the requirements for Special Service Craft.

As a result of our close contact with Amels we were able to integrate several of the main outfitting items directly into the general construction plans. Among others this included stairways, tender bays with overhead cranes, transom doors a helipad and the shaft line. Integrating these major items into the general construction drawings makes it easier for the yard to complete the next phase of the engineering process, namely the detail workshop drawings.
