Winch and LARS foundation

Saltwater Engineering was contracted by Fugro for the engineering support for the mobilisation of the Gargano. The A-frame is to be placed onboard the Gargano for final SAT testing. The challenge is to complete the engineering from blank page to production drawings in just three days.

Foundation

For the foundation of the A-frame, parts of the FAT tested frame are to be used to speed up production. The winch is an existing unit but requires a whole new foundation.

Gargano

The Gargano is a 72m dynamically positioned supply vessel with an aft cargo deck extending to 640m2. The vessel is built in 2002 and since 2009 in several geotechnical investigation projects.
