Modification of an existing moonpool frame

Saltwater Engineering was contracted by Fugro for the modification of an existing moonpool frame onboard the MV Despina. The frame was designed to provide a stable platform for a ROV to be stored on, directly above the moonpool. The existing moonpool was also designed by Saltwater Engineering and had to be modified because a larger ROV is going to be installed.

 

Assembling

The final product is a platform that can be transported by truck in manageable sections and bolted together on site before the ship enters the harbor. The frame can simply be lifted onboard and bolted onto the existing frame. Making the operation efficient and saving our costumers valuable time in harbor.
