A: Working from home is a good opportunity to mix my working hours with my daily routine. I can do my daily jobs as washing clothes and doing the dishes during the day. The combination of work, life and school can be time consuming so it is a good feeling to do all the things that need to be done without giving up too much of my free time.
Q: Can you take us through a typical ‘working at home’ day?
A: My typical workday is a bit different than a normal day at the office. As I am not a morning person myself it is a nice way to start my day with some good music and a large cup of coffee. At the start of each day I make a to-do list which guides me through the day. I’m more productive at home then at the office because there is less distraction. This leaves some extra time to cycle, play the guitar or spend some extra time on my school projects.
Q: How do you stay connected with your colleagues?
A: I stay connected with the whole team through teams and social media. Not only can we discuss work related items, but we also keep talking during a normal workday. This creates a feeling of being together and to have a little fun during working hours.
Q: What is the biggest advantage of working from home for you?
A: The biggest advantage of working from home is that I can wear whatever I want, and I can eat whatever I want.
Q: Do you have any tips or advice for an effective working day at home?
A: I guess it is very important to stay connected with your colleagues daily. They can keep you motivated and can make you feel less alone. And just like myself, I can stay inside for days and still be comfortable, but it is important to go outside and enjoy the day!
