Saltwater - Dick Soeters

Dick Soeters

Naval Architect

Q: When did you start working at Saltwater Engineering?

A: October 2016

Q: Any hobbies? Sports? And how do you spend your free time?

A: I enjoy crafting with wood, tinkering and outboard engine or scooter. In Summer time I enjoy sailing with my boat and relax on the water or playing water sports like knee boarding and fun-tubing.

Q: How would you best describe the Saltwater Engineering culture?

A: The culture is open minded and flexible. Always time for an informal talk and joke. No individuals but solving challenges as a team.

Q: What was your most fun project and why?

A: For me the most exciting project was the stability calculations for the installation of a railway bridge. The total weight of the bridge was more than 2.000 tons. It was very challenging to ensure that the operation could be executed safely.
