During the summer of 2010 Saltwater Engineering BV was contracted by Keppel Verolme to execute a complete deadweight survey of the semi-submersible GSF Arctic III.

The works comprised an inventory of all weight items on the vessel that are not part of the actual lightweight. Also all tanks were sounded and draught measurements were taken in order to determine the actual weight of the rig.

Saltwater Engineering’s practical and hands on approach allowed us to complete this project to the shipyard’s satisfaction. The works were completed on-site at the Keppel Verolme shipyard in Rotterdam where the vessel was berthed for a special periodic survey.
