Wagenborg - Kurmangazy Print

To further expand Wagenborg’s fleet of “Living Quarter Vessels” in the northern Caspian Sea, the renamed vessel “Kurmangazy” needed to be refitted and reclassed under the RMRS (Russian Maritime Registry of Shipping). Saltwater’s scope included stability works (intact and damaged) as well as numerous direct strength calculations for the integration of foundations and cranes.

The upgrading of the vessel was completed on numerous fronts; such as additional accommodations on the upper deck, generator foundations and crane column integrations. Saltwater also undertook numerous additional calculations regarding the statutory requirements in order to gain the Class approval from the RMRS.

Once the actual manufacturing works had been completed at the shipyard Saltwater was also contracted to complete the inclining experiment. All our works were accomplished to both the clients and Class satisfaction.
