M/V Joline Print

The vessel Joline started her life as a Ro-Ro ferry (built in the mid eighties) designed to carry russian tanks across rivers.

A client purchased her and started her modernization in Latvia and concluded her works at the Oranjewerf in Amsterdam. The newly planned trading area of the vessel required significant changes to the vessel. Saltwater’s experience with the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping proved of great value for the progress of the works. Calculations for cargo securing and equipment number calculations are few examples of what we have been dealing with in this project. Besides the calculation side of the project also management and Administration related issues were dealt with. Coordination of the project in this phase of the works was a challenge to say the least.

Our scope of works were basically to support the owner of the vessel in all matters regarding the finalization of the re-classing of the vessel. This required short communication lines with the local surveyors for the Russian Maritime Register of Shipping.
