VanderPlas - 3100dwt MPP Coaster |
|
|
At the beginning of 2011 Saltwater Engineering was awarded a contract by VanderPlas Shipbuilding to complete the Class Approval package for a 3100 DWT multipurpose coaster. This approval package included the general construction plans, engine room arrangement, shaft line arrangement, fire integrity plans, longitudinal strength calculations and various other items required by Bureau Veritas.

Hot Rods for the Offshore - Damen Sea Axe |

In late 2010 Damen Shipyards contracted Saltwater Engineering to complete the engineering to convert two standard Sea Axes to Hot Rods for the offshore. Basically Damen’s client, based in Abu Dhabi, required several changes to the standard configuration of the vessel. Saltwater’s scope included the integration of a crane, a single point hoisting MOB davit, towing hook, hydraulic capstans and a bow bollard.

Mainport - Dina Alliance |
|
In early 2011 Mainport contracted Saltwater Engineering to complete the engineering package for an upgrade for the seismic support vessel Dina Alliance. Numerous areas of the vessel were implicated in this upgrade, among which were the integration of a container foundation, a quick release towing hook integration and a raised davit with access platform.

RAOs - Muller Dordrecht |
|
|
Muller Dordrecht contracted Saltwater Engineering to calculate the RAOs (Roll Amplitude Operators) for the Muller Barge 6619. The vessel will undertake the transport of two Offshore High Voltage Substations in upright position from Antwerp to the Thames Estuary.

In order to ensure a safe transport a motion analysis was completed for the barge to under a particular sea state to ensure that the accelerations of the Substations remain within the client specified parameters.

Wind - Cable Tanks |
|
|
Saltwater Engineering BV was contracted by WIND BV to complete a strength analysis for two cable tanks that were placed into the M/V Bremer Johanna. These cable tanks facilitated the transport of cables between Europe and North America.

GSF Arctic III - Keppel Verolme |
|
|
During the summer of 2010 Saltwater Engineering BV was contracted by Keppel Verolme to execute a complete deadweight survey of the semi-submersible GSF Arctic III. The works comprised an inventory of all weight items on the vessel that are not part of the actual lightweight.
