ISO 9001:2008 Certification |

Saltwater Engineering has experienced a significant change in the past few months. On the 13th of January 2010 Saltwater Engineering received the NEN-EN-ISO 9001:2008 certification from Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance after several months of preparation, and covers all aspects of the operational structures within Saltwater.
Using the quality management system Saltwater Engineering aims to further enhance customer satisfaction as well as to increase the efficiency of the engineering processes. Furthermore the ISO 9001:2008 strengthens Saltwater Engineering’s position in the offshore market and also it opens new opportunities for tendering government contracts.

Blue Peter Racing Days 2009 |

For the last few years Saltwater Engineering has been sponsoring the Blue Peter Racing Days for small flat-bottomed sailing vessels. This year the event will take place from 19 to 21 October. To further promote the event a new website and logo have been launched.

After the deckhouse of the dive support vessel Seven Atlantic, currently under construction at IHC-Merwede, was completed at Maatschappij de-Maas, it was hoisted onto the vessel by the crew of the Matador3.

As of July 1st, 2008 Saltwater Engineering has finally found an accomplished naval architect to start working as the in-house NAPA Specialist.
Having an employee that will almost exclusively work with NAPA further enhances Saltwater Engineering's ability to deliver a complete design package. Not only does the usage of NAPA expand our fairing and 3D modelling capabilities, but it also allows the completion of complex intact and damaged stability calcuations. |

The prodcution of the first Saltwater Sailor MB124 is steadily moving forwards. Currently the shell plating and superstructure are being welded into place.
