Saltwater Engineering is looking for an expansion in it’s team. The function of an engineer contains a wide variety of works, but is mainly focused on proper engineering using well known software such as Autocad, Shipconstructor and Rhinoceros.

Tasks will include the development of concept- and basic designs of a variety of different ship types ranging from small craft and yachts all the way to the offshore. The engineer will deal with works such as constructional drawings, outfitting drawings, strength calculations, etc. Basic knowledge of major Rules and Regulations is required. Three years of experience in the shipbuilding industry is preferred.

Qualifications
Preferably a Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or in same cases Mechanical Engineering; otherwise several years of relevant experience. Basic knowledge of strength of materials Knowledge and experience in ship structural design Knowledge in ship construction methods, conventions, and techniques Familiarity with Classification Society rules for steel and aluminum vessels Efficient marine structural drafting skills using AutoCAD software Additional knowledge in the following related areas are considered strong assets: Good communicative skills English proficiency in both spoken and written word Shipbuilding production methods and conventions 3D modeling
