To further strengthen our team Saltwater Engineering is looking for a Lead Structural Engineer to support the design and engineering works that are completed at our office. The engineer will be responsible for the structural design of both new build vessels and modification works based on the standard Classiciation Society regulations, such as LR, DNV, BV, GL, ABS and RMRS. A good working knowledge of standard practices used during the production of our designs is vital.

Qualifications

Preferably a Degree or Diploma in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or in some cases Mechanical Engineering; otherwise several years of relevant experience.
Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge and experience in ship structural design
Knowledge in ship construction methods, conventions, and techniques
Familiarity with Classification Society rules for steel and aluminum vessels
Efficient marine structural drafting skills using AutoCAD software
Good communicative skills
Team player
Dutch and English proficiency in both spoken and written word.
